Last week we took the kids to the annual Pumpkin Festival at Cal Ploy. They have this mammoth field that they cover in pumpkins and our kids love to run around in it. We made the mistake of waiting until around 1:30 to go and so the field was getting quite bare. Sadly my pictures weren't as good as last year because of this, not to mention it was a hot day AND Jarron's nap time. Which also meant my hope of getting really cute pictures of the kids for Christmas presents didn't work. They weren't cooperating, not looking at the camera, not smiling, or as below staring at a bee they were worried would come after them, not to mention the squinted eyes from the sun in their face.

Some other things we did:
- We let the kids go in a bounce house and down a big air slide.
- We ate a strawberry topped funnel cake and some very yummy smoothies.
- We looked at a scorpion and tarantula.
- Pet the horses through the fence.
- Picked out some good looking pumpkins.
- Wondered around till we had seen everything and were good N tiered!

I have often thought to myself... what would life be like when we do not have to schedule our lives around nap time? It looks like you had a lot of fun!! It is a lot greener in CA than here. We still haven't carved our pumpkins and Halloween is just around the corner. The boys chose super small pumpkins (that they could carry) and they were still green. It was cute. - Mendy
They're still great pictures! But I know what you mean-- we had the same problem of a pretty much empty pumpkin patch! Since it's so warm here you gotta go earlier before all the pumpkins start to rot! :)
Nice hair, chop chop, is Pres. Dr. Richard okay with it?
That's a really cute picture of you and Jarron, even if the other ones didn't turn out.
